The Jhumka Off the Record takes the traditional Jhumka/ Jimikki (bell-shaped dangler) and hangs it from a long, slender gold stem held by a half-moon shaped stud. Basically deconstructing it. The stud and the bell are set with red Kemp stones, and the bell is edged with small gold beads.
Ice Apple Alchemy comes from the southern tip of India as it is remembered: toddy palms swaying over paddy fields, sticky ice apples, windmills standing tall, glittering salt farms and sun-baked red earth. Eenkai turns this landscape, half memory, half dream, into everyday jewellery.
